#GiveHerACrown believes that the fight against gender inequality starts in schools. Gender discrimination which, simply put, is any unequal treatment, including privilege and priority, on the basis gender has been shown to start in childhood. Our #GiveThemACrown campaign aims to impact schools across South Africa by providing a transformative educational programme that trains and empowers teachers to champion gender equality with their students. The educational content is co-created with Lalela, an organisation that specialises in Art Education, which uses the power of creativity and storytelling to drive empathy and behavioural change.
